takin' a dive

For the third time today...here is more stuff that I'm working on:

This time it's an oil painting.  Hurrah.  As you can see, I haven't finished it.  I was going to add graffiti to the wall behind the girl, but my professor asked me not to and I'm tempted to agree with him because the lovely texture of the wall is actually my favourite part of the piece....   However, it does really need something else.  Oh yeah, she's supposed to have a stump arm.  I'll paint her other hand in though.

Here's some more work I've got going on.....

I made a James Jean ripoff sculpture for class, and now I'm busy constructing a bird mask.  I just ordered two yellow LED lamps to put in the eyes so they'll light up and it'll be AWESOME!

It Begins

I decided to finally get a blog  to post little scraps, random thoughts and doodles in instead of cluttering up my portfolio site (OrangeMantis.com)  I'll try to update this fairly often, but I can't make any promises.  I've got a pretty full schedule.  

Well, here's a self portrait I'm doing for Figure Drawing class that I've got sitting on the couch next to me right now.  I'm supposed to be working on it....
