Last week's sketches for Character Development class, and some (mostly-finished) playing cards for my Illustration Concepts 1 class. The cards are supposed to belong to different suits representing various ancient civilizations. The first is Maya, the middle Greek and the last Persian.
Mayby one more to make the illus different from eachother, is to vary the shape of the graphics in the background, now you have different patterns but it would be cool if the greek one was perhaps a square and the persian another different shape. Just a thought

Very nice. Your cartooning (not the right word, but you know what I mean) has smoothed out and grown by leaps.
adorable aztec/maya stuff makes me super happy to see influence from other old or dead cultures.
also on the pink one, shes got backwards hands, dont know if that something you purposely put in.
